In my past life I ran a photo studio and worked with top notch photographers from around the San Francisco Bay Area. I also did photo editing and styling photo shoots for Sunset magazine. And since starting out on my own, I have done work for Martha Stewart Omnimedia Group, had three covers run for Bay Area Kids Magazine, and my advertising work has run in Diablo Magazine, and Bump. You can also my work on display at local boutiques and offices around the Bay Area. On a personal note, I've always had a passion for photography. Recording history through pictures. I was the kooky friend who had the camera and insisted on capturing every moment. Now, years later, I'm still the one with the camera, and if you ask my friends and family, I'm still just as kooky... They think I've became obsessed with documenting my children's lives. It's probably true. I want to provide them with memories that might otherwise go forgotten. Almost daily I am reminded of how important photography can be. How many times have you heard a parent who has a second child say "I forgot how tiny newborns are" or "I forgot how much a toddler makes me laugh!"? Photography helps stop time. You can flip through a photo album or walk by a wall portrait and remember what your newborn was really like or how your funny toddler insisted upon wearing three hats and a pair of rain boots. I truly don't think we can afford to forget these moments. |
